Welcome to the Manor, a free-house at the centre of life in the Dartside village of Galmpton, now in its third year of local ownership after a period of being a corporate chain-pub.
The manor was taken over on leasehold by a consortium of locals under the name of Gooseberry Inns Limited in late September 2006 to provide:
- A real local pub, locally run and responsive to the needs of the community
- Well kept beer to suit all tastes
- A full range of locally sourced, freshly prepared meals
- A decent wine list
- Luxury rooms
- A venue for village celebrations, company events and family get-togethers
- A safe and friendly environment for local youngsters to gain work experience
- A balanced offering for the locals, the wider Torbay area and our seasonal visitors

Greenway House Re-opens
After extensive re-furbishment, Agatha Christie's stunning mansion and gardens overlooking the Dart are now open and the Manor is an ideal jumping off point for a visit.
Car parking is limited and by appointment only at Greenway itself but customers of the Manor may leave their cars in our car park (but please ask at the bar to identify yourself as a customer).
Lunch at the Manor followed by a gentle stroll, either directly along Greenway Road or a circular walk via Galmpton Creek makes a marvellous afternoon's outing

We have a great reputation locally for the way we keep our beer:
The number of real ales we keep varies with the seasons and the turnover - we'd rather sell fewer, better beers than a wide range of badly kept ones.
Our faith in our ale was rewarded when we gained Cask Marque accreditation
Two unannounced inspections give us 100% for all four draught ales
