Dean has jointed us from Premiere Cru, Wellswood, where he was head hunted to transform the restaurant under new management. Having achieved his goals at Premiere Cru, Dean now looks forward to a new challenge reaching the next level. Using only the freshest of local produce, all prepared in house.

Welcome to the Manor,
 a free-house at the centre of life in the Dartside village of Galmpton, now in its third year of local ownership after a period of being a corporate chain-pub.                                                          

The manor was taken over on leasehold by a consortium of locals under the name of Gooseberry Inns Limited in late September 2006 to provide:

• A real local pub, locally run and responsive to the needs of the community
• Well kept beer to suit all tastes
• A full range of locally sourced, freshly prepared meals
• A decent wine list
• Really nice rooms
• A venue for village celebrations, company events and family get-togethers
• A safe and friendly environment for local youngsters to gain work experience
• A balanced offering for the locals, the wider Torbay area and our seasonal visitors
